If you are anything like me and like to keep up with the latest trends in hairstyling, you know that the men’s grooming segment is booming right now. One of the hottest and fastest growing franchises specializing in men’s haircuts is SportClips.

SportClips is the first sports-themed hair care franchise for men and boys. The company, which started in 1993 by Gordan Logan, CEO & Founder, was rated amongst the top 50 fastest growing franchises in America by the Entrepreneur magazine. With more than 650 stores across the United States, this company offers men’s grooming services for around 150 million men and boys.

I had the opportunity to meet Julie Vargas, Director of Career Opportunities at SportClips, during the Annual CEA Convention in Las Vegas this past July. It was a rare treat to learn more about this exciting sports-themed barbershop concept catered towards men and boys. Their mission is simple:

To create a Championship Haircut Experience in an exciting sports environment.

At Sport Clips, their Guy-Smart Stylists understand that each Client is different and make every effort to provide personal attention. Stylists deliver the ultimate Just-for-Guys haircut experience without the fuss and chit chat of a full service hair salon. They are consistently trained on the latest men’s hairstyles and will work with their clients to get the hair just the way their clients want it in a comfortable, sports-themed environment. Where else can your clients simply walk in and get their hair cut while watching sports on TV?

If you are a stylist and are interested in a career in cutting men’s hair and get training on how to give your clients that MVP treatment, which includes and great new haircut followed by an invigorating scalp massage with Tea Tree Shampoo, a classic steamed towel, and finish with a relaxing neck and shoulder massage, you got to check out SportClips.

Tyra Banks natural hair has been a hotly discussed topic amongst many. While very few people who are close to Tyra knew the secret behind her hair, others were busy in speculating.

Many men and women have had a feeling that she does not have healthy natural hair and uses wigs and extensions. There’s nothing wrong in their perception because whenever Tyra has appeared in public events, she has always used wigs. Be it walking the ramp or attending parties, everyone knew that she used extensions and wigs to flaunt her hairstyle and that they were not Tyra Banks real hair.

But recently, she surprised everyone by appearing on The Tyra Show with her original hair. Without any hesitation, she appeared on stage and sported her original hair which looked perfectly natural. She possesses very normal hair that is similar to any African American woman.

To commensurate this great moment for natural African American hair, Scissorboy brings you a very special episode featuring more ideas for getting natural African American Hairstyles with Ms. Keeli Harris from Kandills Salon and Spa in Oakland, CA.

Keeli calls this hairstyle a clipper over comb short cut which leaves the option of leaving her natural african american hair, very much like Tyra did by revealing the Tyra Banks Natural Hair look to kick off the new season of her talk show last night to the world.

I think you will agree that Keeli does a tremendous job in keeping her clients natural hair flattering yet allowing them to add a little bit of spice to their natural african american hairstyles.

Congratulations to Tyra Banks for having the courage to don her natural African American hair and inspire other women to do the same. For more information on Tyra Banks Natural hair, natural african american hair and ideas on how to get Tyra Banks real hair SUBSCRIBE to the whole FREE series.
