One of the most important things to keep in mind when having a photo shoot is that you will most likely not know what the photo shoot will entail. Mickey says you must “go with the flow” and that it all starts with the photographer.

Babak mentions that the right photographer will get your whole look and bring it all together for you. As a hairstylist, make sure that you explain your objectives to your photographer. If the photographer does not understand your needs and objectives, he may not be able to capture the important thing(s) that you wish to depict through your work.

One important tip that Babak shared on the Cutting Edge Hair Show was to always go with the flow of hair while doing a photo shoot. Going against it would never work.
